2011 - This year has been a busy one. Justin came for memorial day and spent a week. It was nice to have him home. He has got a new job in Salt Lake and will be so much closer. His girls moved to Preston so we see them more than we use to. It's great to have them just drop by and say hi!

We've had a busy summer. On the 4th of July we went camping. We have started going up to Emigration camp ground every 4th of July with my sisters and brothers famlies. Kyles family came for the first time in a while. Melissa is not a camper but she was a good sport. The rest of my kids couldn't come this year, but we had a great time.
The weather was still a little bit colder than usual at night. We went to Bear Lake on saturday and it was a cool 68 degrees. The kids still got in the water and played, but 3 hours was long enough. That night Craig and Nancy came up, and Donald Lee and Mother came from Layton for supper. Candice made barbaque spare ribs and we had dutch oven potatoes with salads and goodies. It was really delicious. It's so fun to get as many of us together as we can.

Over Memorial day week end We had Justin and his girls, and Marys family. The weather was a little cold but we still had a hot dog roast in the back yard and did smores.
Mary's family and Justin and the girls went to Lava on wednesday and they were the only ones in the pool for most of the day. When it rained they would go to the indoor pool and when the sun came out they would go to the outdoor pool. They had a great time on the new slides.
We went to the zoo in Salt Lake on Thursday which turned out to be a great day. Not to hot and not to cold. Mary's family went home thursday night and then Justin and I took the girls to lagoon on saterday. I can now say I have rode on the ride wicked. It was great. Everyone should try it.

We went to the Utah State Tournament in Reno Nevada in March with our good friends Scott and Ruth. We love the Aggies and was disappointed when they lost the championship game to the New Mexico Aggies.
While in Reno we went to the Rocky Mountain Oyster festival in Virginia City. It was a fun day. They had a contest on different ways to serve rocky mountain oysters. They had them in won tons, nachos, smoked, breaded and deep fried on a stick. Ruth and I can not say we tried them but Neal and Scott did. (Strike that off the bucket list.) They also had a parade down main street. Virginia City is a fun little place to visit, it is an old western city. I don't mean new old, I mean old old. There are also a few places in town that are suppose to have ghosts. We passed on them.
